In November of 1952, on the same day that the voters in the Borough of Narberth overwhelmingly gave their support to General Dwight D. (Ike) Eisenhower vs. Adlai Stevenson, those same voters narrowly rejected a ballot referendum that called for replacing paper ballots with voting machines. Too expensive!
