New Interim Dean at St. Joe’s Discusses Merger With University of the Sciences.
It appears that the merger talks between St. Josephs’s University and the University of the Sciences are “moving along.”

When asked an interview with The Hawk, “What are you looking forward to in your new role as the interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences?” – Recently appointed interim dean for the College of Arts and Sciences, James Carter replied, “Fortunately, my whole career has been at St. Joe’s, and I’m looking forward to being part of the decision-making process to try and help it move to the next phase. The merger [with the University of the Sciences] is going to be a historic opportunity with a lot of challenges and I’m looking forward to being a part of that process.”
On February 10 The Inquirer reported that “St. Joseph’s University and the University of the Sciences announced Wednesday they are considering a merger to help both institutions grow and thrive in an increasingly challenging higher education market.”
