She doesn’t think “We need to go back to the Centrists.”
On April 2, NPR’s national political correspondent, Don Gonyea, interviewed Liz Havey as part of a story he did about suburban voters in the Post-Trump era. Havey is Chair of the Montgomery County Republican Committee, a was the previous Chair of the Republican Committee of Lower Merion Narberth.
Discussing the direction that the Republican Party might take, Havey told Gonyea, “I don’t think the answer is we need to go back to the Centrists, a Mitt Romney type candidate in the suburbs – I really don’t. The Democrats are providing us with a lot of Far Left policies. Biden is not a unifier. He is not a Centrists. Republicans don’t like what they see on the Left. And some of them are Never-Trumpers who don’t like what they see.”
