On Saturday (May 22), Lower Merion High School’s boys tennis team became 2021’s PIAA 3A tennis champions. They won the title in spectacular fashion, winning all five matches in the final around against Hershey High School.
In the two rounds prior to the finals, the Aces swept Franklin Regional in the quarterfinals, 5-0; and then they shutout Harriton in the semifinals, 4-0.
Lower Merion’s team consisted of Vikas Miller at number one singles, Justin Minerva at number two singles, Justin Yi at number three singles, Brian Yi (Justin’s brother) and Ethan Blum at number one doubles, and Stoyan Angelov and Mark Lancaster at number two doubles.
