Lower Merion Soccer Hosts Boyertown in District Final Four Match

by Gerry

Aces Unbeaten Record On Line

The Lower Merion High School Boys Soccer Team (17-0-1) faces its toughest challenge of the season, this afternoon, 3:00 PM at Arnold Field. Boyertown (15-1-2) is ranked 3rd among the 49 schools in the PIAA District 4A rankings. Lower Merion is ranked second.

In the other semi final match, top-ranked North Penn plays Conestoga tonight. Conestoga was ranked 5th after the regular season, but earned a right to play in the final four by knocking off 4th ranked Unionville.

LM Already Guaranteed Slot in State Tourney

Lower Merion Coach Nico Severino’s boys would love to add a PIAA District 1 Title to the Central League Championship that they won on October 15. However should they lose the title match against the winner of Connestoga vs. North Penn, or even if they are beaten by Boyertown today, the Aces have already clinched a berth in the 16-team PIAA State Tournement.
