Strath Haven came into the game at 3-0, having outscored their opponents 139-55. Marple Newtown’s defense had the most success against ‘Haven, holding them to only 41 points. Meanwhile, the Harriton football team was sporting a 0-3 record, having been outscored 127-20.
That Strath Haven won the game 62-12, was pretty much in line with expectations.
But that’s not to say that the fans, under the Friday Night Lights (September 17) in Rosemont, didn’t get treated to a little bit of real competition. It’s just that the competition took place on the sideline and in the stands, not on the field.
