Betting Market Not Keen On Oz

by Gerry

Betting Site McSwain

The people who put their money where their mouths are – are not convinced that the enormous amount of money Mehmet Oz is spending on TV ads is going to result in his winning the Republican Primary for U.S. Senate.

If you’re a person who is willing to put your money where your mouth is, and you really believe that Dr. Oz is going to win the Republican Primary, there’s an opportunity for you to monetize that belief.

On Predictit.com you can buy Dr. Oz shares for just 32 cents. $32 gets you 100 shares, and if Oz wins the primary, you’ll get back $100. Just keep in mind, for whatever reasons, more money is being “invested” in the target of Oz’s mudslinging – Dave McCormick. McCormick’s shares are going for 58 cents.

If the polls start to show that Oz’s sleazy ads are actually working better than McCormick’s sleazy ads, you can bet (hah!) that Oz’s shares will go up, and McCormick’s will drop in price.  And if that happens (and you’ve bet on Oz), you can cash out with a nice profit at any time before the election. You will not get back the full $100 that you would have gotten had you waited until Oz actually won, but – you know what they say about the bird in hand.

According to “the money” at Predictit.com,  the PA GOP Gubernatorial Race is more up for grabs than the Senate Race.

Former U.S. Attorney, Bill McSwain looks to be the favorite right now, at 41 cents a share, followed by Dave White at 25 cents, Doug Mastriano at 24 cents (he’s surging) and Lou Barletta at 16 cents.

Don’t overlook Joe Gale

He’s still running, and you can buy Joe Gale Shares for just a penny!

The Money thinks Pennsylvania is going to have a Red Wave in November.

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

January 16-18: The Philly Pen Show — A Delightfully Analog Experience

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
