Pssst. Want To Know A Secret? LMSD Filed Suit Against The Township, But The Complaint Hasn’t Been Served (Yet).
The Lower Merion School District filed a lawsuit against Lower Merion Township, on November 27. At the time the suit was filed, neither the district nor the township released any public comment about it.
When contacted today, Amy Buckman, School District Director of Community Relations, released the prepared statment below.
Nobody, other than those with “a need to know,” knew about the lawsuit until last night, when Adrian Seltzer wrote on Lower Merion Politics as Usual, “I heard LMSD is suing LMT. Great use of our tax dollars.”
When asked if the board had a public vote to approve the litigation, Buckman replied in an email, “Board discussions regarding litigation or legal matters are held in executive session with the Board’s legal advisers.”
