On Monday (January 30), the Working Families Parrty of Pennsylvania (WFP) endorsed former City Council Person Helen Gym for Mayor of Philadelphia.
Today, the Inquirer reported that Gym attended a cocktail party at the Union League on Monday, the same day she received the WFP’s endorsement.
Just last week Gym blasted the Union League in a Tweet writing Philly will always stand against the racism, homophobia, xenophobia, and the bigotry that @TheUnionLeague decided to honor today. Hate has no home here. #ByeDeSantis.
The Inquirer article includes a link to a video on Twitter that appears to show Gym at the event. The Inquirer also linked to another Tweet showing a photo of Gym at the Union League.
Interesting. Because someone saw you at the Union League TONIGHT for a cocktail party. So which is it? @nextphlmayor https://t.co/cDzX5QlILi pic.twitter.com/A2hmBmPiNS

Later on, Monday night Gym apologized for having attended the event.
Earlier this evening, I made a stop at the annual meeting of an event that I have attended in the past. It was a mistake. I apologize for attending.
