A Change.org petition is being circulated to call attention to an effort by some Montgomery County Democrats to remove Joyce Keller from her position as Co-Chair of the Wissahickon Democratic Committee (Ambler Borough, Lower Gwynedd Township, Whitpain Township, and the Wissahickon School District).
In addition to her political position, Keller is also a member of the Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors.
Kimberly Koch is also a Whitpain Supervisor. And Koch is one of five candidtates running in the Democrtic Primary for County Commissioner. Officially, Koch is one of the four unendorsed candidates. However Jamila Winder has announced that she and Koch are running as a “slate.” What’s more, Winder is the only candidate for County Commissioner endorsed by the Montgomery County Democratic Committee (MCDC).
On her Facebook Page, Keller appears to be supporting Tanya Bamford and Noah Marlier, two candidates running in the Democratic Primary for Commissioners who are not endorsed by MCDC or by the Winder-Koch Slate.
If Keller only supported Marlier and not Bamford, or Bamford and not Marlier, she would have complied with MCDC’s bylaws. But the bylaws preclude her from supporting two candidates in opposition to Winder, the only candidate endorsed by MCDC.
