A group of Anti-Zionist protesters assembled at Haverford College and marched to Suburban Square coming within earshot of a group of Pro-Zionists staging a counter-rally along the sidewalk at the corner of Montgomery and Anderson Avenues.
In an email on Friday (February 23), a representative of Kimco, the company that owns Suburban Square, said, “The organization has stated that this will be a non-violent activity, and it will take place on public streets in accordance with local ordinances.” However, when the Anti-Zionist group arrived at the shopping center, they assembled and gave speeches in a privately owned area between Starbucks and Lifetime Fitness.
In the wake of the “dueling rallies,” there has been no evidence that anybody has changed their opinions about the War Gaza, and there have been no reports that the demonstrations have brought about an end to the hostilities in Gaza, or that any hostages being returned.
