Amanda Cappelletti Declines LWV Debate Invite, But Joins Cooking Event With Mary Jo Daley

Last month, leaders of  the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Central Delaware County and Radnor, attempted to organize a Zoom-based debate between Amanda Cappelletti and Daylin Leach, the two candidates vying for the nomination in the 17th District Democratic Primary (June 2). But there will be no debate because Cappelletti declined the LWV invitation (and a request for a comment as to why she did not accept their invitation).

However, voters will have an opportunity to hear from Amanda when she joins Rep. Mary Jo Daley on Friday (May 8) for a “Cooking with the Candidates” event.

    Why is she hiding?

She won’t debate Daylin because in a real debate on issues that affect the constituents of this senatorial district and PA in general, she would be exposed as an empty vessel. Her handlers have decided that instead it’s much safer for her to make small talk while scrambling eggs and send out disingenuous revolting mailers, the contents of which were debunked by the PA Senate Investigation. awhile back.

If Amanda declines a debate with a member of her own party how is she ever going to go against Republicans in the Senate Chamber?

She knows she would lose a debate.

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

January 16-18: The Philly Pen Show — A Delightfully Analog Experience

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
