Bikers Compete. Community Wins
The sky was blue, with temperatures and the humidity were on the low side (for August). But the competition in the streets of Ardmore, unlike the weather, was hot! – at the third annual Main Line Bike race. The racers represented all ages, genders and bicylce racing skill levels, from a co-ed kids race for 7-9 year-olds, to a 55+ mens’ race. Or as one young observer politely descirbed it, a race for “elderly gentlemen.”
The proceeds from the sponsors of the race went to Narberth Ambulance. Their crew was out in full force, and were kept busy by several racers who were a little too aggressive in some of the hairpin turns.
