On Thursday (March 18), Senator Pat Toomey blocked a Democratic Effort to pass an amendment to the Stimulus Relief Package aimed at stopping debt collectors from seizing money from recipients of stimulus checks. Democrats tried to pass the measure with a unanimous consent vote, but Toomey objected.
