Colbert and Kimmel Having Fun With PA’s New Doctor

by Gerry

Late-night hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel offered competing wisecracks after Dr. Mehmet Oz announced that he was running for the Senate in Pennsylvania.

Oz Colbert

Colbert told his audience that “running for Senate is the one weird trick to reduce belly fat.”

He’s staying humble with his promises. As it says on his campaign website “Dr. Oz is fundamentally promising to help re-light the divine spark inside every American.” I’d settle for cheaper gas. But sure – Doc – check the pilot light on my divine spark, just like they taught you at Med. School, Colbert quipped.

Oz Kimmel

Kimmel had this to say about Pennsylvania’s newest and most famous politician – Last night he announced his candidacy while kneeling before the all-powerful Captain of the MAGA Cheer Squad, Sean Hannity.

After assuring Hannity “I cannot be bought, Sean,” Kimmel ran a reel of Dr. Oz’s greatest hits-pitches including Aqua Force First-Ever Body Spray, Turkish Airlines (Cares more about your flight safety than anything else), A New Way to Help Couples Sleep Better, Garcinia Cambosia – The Simple Solution You’ve Been Looking For To Bust Your Body Fat, Lighting in a Bottle and  This Miracle Pill Can Burn Fat Fast.

Kimmel wrapped the bit saying, “You know what? You can’t be bought when you’ve already been sold.”

January 16-18: The Philly Pen Show — A Delightfully Analog Experience

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
