Elvira Berry – Left Nigeria When She Was 13.

It Took Her 11 Years, But As A Single Mom She Made It Through Law School.

Now She Runs A Business With 30 Employees. And In Her Spare Time She’s Running For State Senate.

Her father died when she was five. She and her sisters raised themselves.

9th Grade, first day of school in the U.S. – She thought the cafeteria was “awesome.”

Graduated Widener Law School. Then a Clerkship with a blind judge.

Started her own company in 2015. From day one, all employees have gotten full healthcare benefits.

Thinks schools should not be funded through real estate taxes
