by Gerry

In a late afternoon football game on Friday (September 1) at Arnold Field, Ardmore, Lower Merion beat the Upper Darby Royals by a score of 14-6.

If you were born on the day of the previous Aces’ win over Upper Darby, you’d be old enough to be President of the United States come the next Inauguration Day (January 20, 2025).

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

On September 23, 1989 (during the first year of the Bush Administration – that would be George Herbert Walker Bush), Lower Merion beat the  Royals, 21-14.

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
