For His Israel Posts, Nether Providence Dems Shun Their Candidate For Commissioner

Update

Nether Providence Ward 3 Vote

It appears that the write-in effort by the Nether Providence Democrats failed and that James Mason was elected.

Nether Providence Ward Three Voters will see James Mason’s name on the ballot on Election Day, but Nether Providence Democrats are urging voters not to vote for him.

Instead, Nether Providence Democrats will be urging voters to write in Elizabeth Ann Henry.

Nether Providence Democrats James Mason

Members of the Nether Providence Democratic Committee became disenchanted with Mason after he made what they considered to be “several inflammatory comments regarding the ongoing crisis in Israel and Gaza.”

According to a statement released on Wednesday (November 1), “he now realizes that these words were hurtful and has issued an apology. Because we believe these actions demonstrate poor judgment and are not compatible with public service, we have asked him to cease his campaign for Nether Providence Board of Commissioners, and he has agreed to do so.”

Even though Mason has supposedly his campaign, his name will still appear on the ballot. No Republican has filed to run against him. Mason’s name is the only one that voters will see.  Some voters had already voted before this controversy developed. So it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Mason could still win the election.

Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
