The organizers, Montco for Liberation, cited the fear of “potentially violent Zionists planning to show up en masse” as the reason for cancelling what was being promoted as a Free Speech Rally at Lower Merion High School on Wednesday (March 6). The notice of cancellation was made through their Instagram account.
This was to be a follow-up protest against Lower Merion High School’s decision to remove an Anti-Zionist editorial from the Merionite, the school’s official newspaper.
Guy Brodetzki says
I am the organizer of the counter-protest and this is hilarious.
Maybe call and ask the LMPD and ask them what I told them – NO violence, On the other side of the street, Fully compliant with the police, and they appreciate it.
I guess the pro-Hamas snowflakes feared they would melt because over the rain so they had to cancel.
Rebecca says
Sadly, I believe it was a proganda tactic to make Zionists and Pro-Israel supporters seem “unhinged”, when clearly that’s not the case.
Gerry says
Don’t worry. Nobody in Lower Merion, (especially the propogandists) really believes that are “Violent Zionist” among us.
Class of 2000 says
What a messed up headline
Gerry says
Why do you say that?
Brian says
Because if you haven’t been following the news for the last five months, all of the violent protestors are on the pro-Hamas side. Zionists aren’t blocking traffic; Zionists aren’t releasing balloons next to JFK airport; Zionists aren’t getting into fights with cops. There have been at least 63 recorded incidents of Jewish students being assaulted on American university campuses since October. The violent protesters are the scumbags supporting a genocidal terrorist organization that committed mass rape and infanticide five months ago. Wake up.
You idout says
So far at all the protests the pro hamas side has been dangerous.
This headline makes the author look like a hate filled moron. That’s why.
Doubt he even knew the word zionist Oct 6th
Gerry says
Note, the words the words Potenially Violent Zionists are in quotes, they come directly from the Instagram Page that is being reported on. The author was of the belief that it would be self-evident that there are no violent zionists in Lower Merion, and the would it unnecessary to explain that to the readers.
