Brazilian recording star Astrud Gilberto, has died at the age of 83.
In March of 1967, the Inquirer reported that she was living on Sandringham Road in Penn Valley/Bala Cynwyd.

Astrud Gilberto’s second husband was a Philadelphian named Nicholas LaSorsa, which explains why she lived on the Main Line. Gilberto met LaSorsa in 1965 when she was performing at The Showboat, a jazz club that was located at Broad and Lombard Streets.
