GOP Candidate Kathy Barnette, Says She Will Stop Madeleine Dean From Abolishing The Suburbs.
Kathy Barnette is the Republican candidate for the U.S. House in Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District. She has her sights set on unseating the incumbent Democrat, Madeleine Dean.
On Friday (July 31) Barnette spoke with Radio Talkshow host, Dom Giordano.
KATHY BARNETTE: Thanks for having me on. There was nothing decent about that, was it?
DOM GIORDANO Laughing. But that’s the card that she plays, and look, she got elected the last time around. Does she not reflect then, what Montgomery County is all about, particularly women?
KATHY BARNETTE: Not only does she not reflect it, in her demeanor, in her behavior, to the top cop in the nation. She’s not even around. She’s not even campaigning. She has not done one thing for Montgomery County. Dean was desperately trying to make a moment for herself. She had all kinds of news, media outlets planned – immediately after. And her actions were so contrived, they were so rehearsed, and yet they were so reflective of who she really is. And people have been calling her out about that. Can you imagine that she managed to call Barr disrespectful, a sexist, a racist, a hostile witness; all within under two minutes?
DOM GIORDANO Laughing
KATHY BARNETTE: It was unbelievable.
DOM GIORDANO A tour de farce. It was. And you don’t get to do that. It has to be calculated. Now has she agreed to a debate with you?
KATHY BARNETTE: She has not. And we are calling her out on that, right, because not only is the Democrat Party, so diabolically opposed to anything the Republican Party Platform stands on, but Dean and myself – we have two very different visions, for not only Montgomery County, District 4, but for the nation as a whole. And for some reason, these people, specifically her; a one-termer walking around acting as though they do not have to condescend themselves to come and have a conversation with the people. But the people of District 4, they have every right to know exactly what vision Dean has for their district. And they will be very surprised, and specifically, when we start talking about things like abolishing the suburbs.
DOM GIORDANO Let’s talk about that. That was on my list of things to ask you, out there in the suburbs. President Trump, it hasn’t gotten enough coverage. And I don’t know if they’ve been precise enough. But under the Obama Plan, and now if Biden is elected President, and people like Madeleine Dean there; their notion is, they’re going to tear up the suburbs. Make it more like the cities. Inundate with the suburbs toward some kind of utopia. And the president has talked about what it was like under H.U.D. with President Obama. But it would be a lot worse now, given the atmosphere. What’s the biggest objection to what they want to do with the suburbs?
KATHY BARNETTE: Many, but let’s just start off with you have abolish I.C.E., abolish the border, abolish the police. Now Democrats are offering us Abolish the Suburbs. When you say this to people, specifically Democrats, they tend to look at you like you have a third eye – as if that’s a bridge too far, for the Democrat Party to go. But who would have ever thought that we would be having a conversation in this nation about abolishing the police? But seriously, Democrats have plans for all of us. They have really big plans for all of us. And you can start by just going to Biden’s website and looking at it. What they’re using, they’re using the color of my skin. They’re using the history of this nation to badger this country into compliance – with their desire to control us all. And that’s exactly what the Affirmative Furthering Fair Housing Act will do. It’s also called the AFFH. It will literally take local zoning and federalize it. So if Montgomery County, for example, receives any money – even a dollar from the community bloc grants that are offered in Montgomery County – and so far in 2020, we received three million dollars – But if we receive one dollar, from H.U.D.; then we will have to fill out this large amount of paperwork, and we will have to not just look at Montgomery County demographic diversity, social economic statuses and all of that; but we will have to expand to include the larger Philadelphia proper. And Philadelphia is very different from Montgomery County. The diversity is different, the socio-economics is different; there are a number of things that are very different. But when Montgomery County begins to make plans for our community, we will be forced to not just take into consideration the residents of Montgomery County, the makeup of Montgomery County; but we will also have to take into consideration, the makeup of the larger Philadelphia Area, and promise to make Montgomery County look more like the larger Philadelphia Area. And bring those particular people into the district, also you know, putting up transportation hubs and all of that.
DOM GIORDANO Yes, it is very specific, and very much changing the character of the suburbs. Where do people find your information, Kathy Barnette?
KATHY BARNETTE: They can start by going to our website, KathyBarnetteforCongress.com. We actually were one of the first to start talking about abolishing the suburbs. We were one the first to have Stanley Kurtz on our show, two weeks ago. Last Sunday he was on Mark Levin, talking about it. This is going to become a very large talking point, because it impacts specifically District 4.
DOM GIORDANO Absolutely. Kathy, to be continued. Thank you. Thanks very much for joining us today.
KATHY BARNETTE: Thank you for having me on.
