The Harriton Rams Boys Varsity Basketball team will host the Marple Newtown Tigers tomorrow night at 7:00. This will be the last regularly scheduled game for both teams. Currently, they are tied for sixth place in the twelve-team Central league with records of 7-8. Harriton’s overall record is 12-9, and Marple Newtown’s is 11-10. Marple won when the two teams played each other at Marple in December, 56-44.
However, the Tigers have not beaten any of the top five teams in the league this season (Radnor, Lower Merion, Garnet Valley, Upper Darby and Springfield). In contrast, Harriton has beaten Garnet Valley and Springfield.
Whichever team wins Tuesday night’s game will qualify to play in the Central Playoffs which begin on Thursday (February 9).
