It’s Still The GSB Building
Germantown Savings Bank ceased to exist in 1994, after it was acquired by Corestates, but its former headerquarters building at One Belmont Avenue is still known as the GSB Building.

Keystone Property Group currently owns and manages the building which is located on Belmont Ave, between City Line and St. Asaphs Road, in Bala Cynwd.
From their website it appears that Keystone is “co-branding” the property as One Belmont, and The GSB Building.
“Weighing in” at 12 stories and 146 feet, this was, and still is the tallest building in Lower Merion. When it was first occupied in 1958, this was known as The Barclay Building. It was built by John McShain (“The Man Who Built Washington” – and a big chunk of Philadelphia). McShain also built the Presidential Apartments and the no-longer-standing Holiday Inn on City Line.

Williamson’s Restaurant 1960-2004
Restauranter Joseph A. Williamson was one of McShain’s partners in the Barclay Building. When the building first opened, Williamson was operating his Williamson’s Restaurant at the Presidential.

In 1960, Williamson opened a restaurant on the top floor of the Barclay Building, where it remained a Main Line Dining landmark until it closed in 2004.
