The worst-kept secret in Pennsylvania is that Attorney General, Josh Shapiro, is running for Governor.
Actually, it’s a stretch to describe his intention to succeed Tom Wolf, when Wolf’s term expires at the end of this year, as a secret. It’s more like a known fact lacking the pomp and ceremony of an official announcement.
Back in May of this year, without the benefit of an announcement by Shapiro, Wolf announced that he was supporting the attorney general to be his successor.

No guarantee that Shapiro will announce
It’s possible that when Shapiro speaks before an assemblage of his admirers at an undisclosed location in Abington, he might just say something like “I’m giving real serious consideration to running for governor.” Or not.
