Judge Rules – No Info For Gladwyne Mom About Trans Teacher’s Lesson Plans

by Gerry

On November 16, Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Smythe affirmed Lower Merion School District’s denial of a request for records concerning the “lesson plans” of Welsh Valley Middle School teacher Ben Beaman.

The request for records was brought by Nicole Smith, an acolyte of Elana Fishbein,  aka Gladwyne Mom, who rose to fame as an early opponent of the teaching of CRT (Critical Race Theory) in  public schools, including Lower Merion School District.

Smythe is the judge who, in 2016, who ruled in favor of Arthur Wolk when he sought an injunction to prevent the district from raising taxes.

Judge Smyth’s Ruling Against No Left Turn, in its entirety

On Monday (November 21), when Fishbein was a guest of conservative talk show host Dom Giordano, she was harshly critical of Lower Merion School District, after LMSD refused her FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request for Beaman’s “lesson plans.” Beaman had recently transitioned from female to male and had shown her Special Education Class at Welsh Valley (comprised of four students) a slide deck to explain why Ms. Beaman was now Mx. Beaman.

The School District filed a petition in Common Pleas Court to reverse the State Office of Open Records, which had overruled LMSD’s denial to provide the information that Fishbein’s group was asking for.

Fishbein discussed the court case with Giordano, apparently unaware that Judge Smyth had ruled against her the previous week.

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]
