Kathy Barnette Is Running For U.S. Senate
In a Youtube video released today, Kathy Barnette announced that she is a candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 2022.
In 2020 Barnette ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House against Madeleine Dean in the Fourth Congressional District
.
In the video, Barnette says that “There are still hurdles we must overcome. Now the issue is not just for people who look like me, but for people who think like me as well. People who think like me are being cancelled, bullied, fired, threatened and de-platformed. We’re told that Black lives matter, except of course my Black life, because I’m a Black Conservative.”
If elected, Barnette would be the first Black Republican woman elected to the U.S. Senate
Barnette blamed Trump’s defeat on “activist judges.”
Barnette attributed a raft of unfavorable judges’ decisions that hampered Donald Trump’s ability to reverse the certifications of Joe Biden’s election in several states, including Pennsylvania, to “activist judges.” Among the “activist judges” to whom she refers, presumably includes Trump appointee, Judge Stephanos Bibas, the 3rd Circuit who ruled against the Rudy Giuliania led effort to overturn the results of the Pennsylvania vote.
Barnette did not respond to numerous requests to provide evidence supporting her claims that more than 500 foreigners and several hundred dead people voted in her election.
In 2020 Barnette ran ahead of Donald Trump in her District. She received 40.47% of the vote compared to Trump’s 37.4%
Barnette also proved herself to be a very capable fund raiser. For her 2020 race she collected more than $1,000,000 in campaign contributions.
[…] Dean would also appear to be a very ambitious goal for the Republicans. In 2020 she beat Kathy Barnette by almost 20%. Barnette is now running for the U.S. Senate seat that Pat Toomey will be […]
