On Wednesday Night (December 6), Lansdowne Borough Council voted to rescind its Anti-Hamas Resolution, by a vote of 5-1. Council President Ben Hover was the only dissenting vote.
A group named Left of Lansdowne is urging the all-Democratic Lansdowne Borough Council to reverse a November 15 Resolution Condemning the Attacks by Hamas and rising Antisemitism and Islamophobia in our community that passed unanimously at the council’s November 15 meeting.
Left of Lansdowne is circulatating a sample letter (below) urging Lansdowne residents to call for “council to consider adding a discussion on the possibility of revoking the resolution to the agenda.”
According to Left of Lansdowne’s sample letter, “the resolution [of November 15] willfully misrepresents the Israeli governmebt’s disproportionate response to Hamas’ attacks.
