On Tuesday night (December 14), Lower Merion Coach, Gregg Downer, got eight minutes from 6’9″ senior, Demetrius Lilley (Meech), and that’s all Downer needed.
The Aces played the whole first quarter without Lilley, and struggled to an 8-6 lead. Then with him on the floor in the second quarter, the Aces exploded – scoring 24 points, while holding Upper Darby to 10.
In the second half, having broken Upper Darby’s, Lilley took his own sore back to the trainer’s table for some PT, and then watched teammate Sam Brown pour in four three-pointers (bringing his game total up to six) as the Aces extended their lead to 67-41 at the finish.
Brown led all scorers with 27 points. In three games so far this season, he’s averaging 25.7 points per game.
