LM GOP Vice Chair Says ‘ I did NOT organize a bus to DC on January 6th.’

by Gerry

Reasonable people can disagree on the meaning of certain words. Take for example the word “organize.”

Christina Fink, Vice-Chair of the Republican Committee of Lower Merion Narberth (RCLMN), and Lower Merion School Board candidate, in a recent letter to “Lower Merion Friends and neighbors,” wants us to believe that “The Democrats” have “slandered” her for suggesting that she had anything to do with organizing a bus, or buses to the January 6 Rally/Riot in Washington, D.C.

But maybe rather than slander, “The Democrats are merely guilty of failing to read closely.

Reading the email that Fink sent out to “fellow patriots” at the end of last year –  perhaps in their eagerness to condemn Republican leaders for anything and everything, the Dems incorrectly interpreted the part where she wrote:

We have received a number of requests to see if we are organizing (emphasis added) a bus to join our fellow patriots in Washington, DC on January 6th.  The Lower Merion & Narberth Republican Committee would like to know if YOU would like to go so we can access (sic) if we have enough interest that we would organize (emphasis added) a bus and would all go together.

Please send a (sic) email to me: Christina Fink at ChristinaFinkRCLMN@gmail.com if you would like to go. Please be sure that if you say you want to do this that you are committed to going as I will be spending time and effort in figuring out logistics. If we have enough interest, I will join you on the bus.

If Democrats had read her email more carefully, it would be obvious that even though Fink wanted to organize bus transportation for the “big event” on January 6, her willingness to do so was totally based on the eagerness of her fellow patriots to participate. And apparently there just weren’t enough patriots in Lower Merion/Narberth to make it worth her while.

Then there’s the email that was sent by the Upper Merion Republicans that quotes Fink as follows:

Folks, I have just been given word we have an anonymous donor who will for pay any and all buses moving forward, which have not already been paid for, going from Pennsylvania to DC for the Rally January 6.

Again, Democrats so eager to condemn earnest patriots have incorrectly interpreted Fink’s message as “organizing,” when in fact it was merely her desire to “share information” about how to get a free ride to the event.

Dear Lower Merion Friends and neighbors:

I  am the Vice-Chair of the Republican Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth.  We were receiving dozens of inquiries from our constituents in Lower Merion about organizing a bus to DC on January 6th.  I put out a statement to all Republican citizens inquiring if they really wanted to do this, I would look into transportation.  Within 72 hours of that note I informed everyone that I would NOT be organizing a bus to DC.  I then referred all interested members to the Southeastern  PA Republicans.  I did NOT organize a bus to DC on January 6th.  I did NOT go to DC on January 6th. The Lower Merion Democrat leadership is advertising lies.

And on another note…..how about trying to win the School Board race with facts, ideas and skills? I have attached the “Our Vision For Lower Merion Schools” platform that I and my fellow Republican candidates for Lower Merion School Board would like to offer you in terms of what we actually want to do!

I hope you will consider voting for us in the primary on May 18th.

Sincerely,

Christina Fink

Vice-Chair, Republican Committee of Lower Merion & Narberth
&
2021 Candidate for Lower Merion School Board

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them.
