Montco Committee Members Face Expulsion For Supporting Undendorsed Dems. But By Opting For An Open Primary, They Are Free To Choose Sides In Cappelletti-Leach Row.

Delco Endorses Cappelletti, But Unlike Montco, Their Bylaws Don’t Include A “Loyalty Test.”

Leach Fans in Haverford And Radnor Won’t Risk Being Disciplined For Working On His Campaign.

DCDC Loyalty

Unlike the Montco Democratic Committee (MCDC),  whose bylaws forbid members from supporting an unendorsed Democrat running against an endorsed Democrat, the Delaware County Democratic Committee’s (DCDC) bylaws only restrict its members from supporting candidates “opposed to the Democratic Party.”

Therefore, even though DCDC endorsed Amanda Cappelletti last week for the 17th District State Senate Race,  the 47 Haverford and Radnor Democratic Committee members who chose Daylin Leach as their first choice at the endorsement meeting, are free to work as hard as they want on his behalf, [Edit -provided that they don’t circulate any campaign literature or sample ballot designed to imply an endorsement by the DCDC or any Municipal Democratic Committee, when such endorsement has not been given or has been given to another candidate.]

The primary is on April 28.

This is simply NOT TRUE. Reread Article III, Section 3 (e) again.

See edit. It thought that was understood, but now I’ve made it explicit.

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
