Last night, after several members of Narberth Borough Council, including Council President Aaron Muderick, expressed reservations about some aspects of the bill, Council members voted unanimously in favor of the ordinance as it was originally presented.
There was a lengthy discussion about whether or not the new ordinance was overreaching, in as much as it would require a person sitting on a park bench, watching birds, early in the morning, with nobody else around; to wear a mask.
Ultimately, council members formed a consensus around passing the bill last night; and then amending it, if and as needed at a future meeting.

I can’t vote in Narberth, but I live there, just over the line on Anthwyn. I want to thank the council for a good discussion of the ordinance and their unanimous decision to vote yes. Masks should be required, especially in the business district. Signage should be a help. Any amendment offered should be clearly worded; easy to understand and enforce. As a senior, who walks down to Narberth and around the park several times a week, I much appreciate your efforts.
