There was some drama at Wednesday night’s (July 20) Lower Merion Township Board of Commissioners meeting.
At the start of the meeting, during “Public Privilege of the Floor,” more than two-dozen members of the community stepped up to the podium to express their opinions about Shot Tec LLC., a business that recently moved to a new location on Bala Avenue.
Shot Tec provides training in the use of Firearms. The company also sells guns and firearms equipment through its website. Customers cannot purchase guns at the Bala Avenue location, and no guns are displayed there.
Most, but not all of those who spoke during Public Privilege were opposed to having a business such as Shot Tec in the community. Shot Tec owner Grant Schmidt, who lives in Havertown, also spoke.
