PA/Phila Vote – CNN’S Unfair Fact Check
On Monday (October 26) CNN unfairly claimed that President Trump made four false claims at a rally in Allentown, earlier that day.
CNN is trying to make a big deal out of Trump saying that Mitt Romney got almost zero votes in Philadelphia, when in fact Romney got 96,467 votes in Philly. But seriously, isn’t 96,467 pretty close to zero?
CNN just had to remind everybody that Trump said (three times) that the governor counts the ballots.
How unfair is that?
Does CNN think that the president has time to read the Pennsylvania Election Code in order to know that it’s the election boards in each of the state’s 67 counties (the overwhelming majority of which are controlled by Republicans), and not the governor, who count the ballots?
CNN’s so called Fact-checker is complaining because Trump said, “They took us to court.”
So maybe it was Trump who took them to court (the City of Philadelphia). And the city put up a (successful) defense against Trump’s lawsuit.
When it comes right down to it, is there any difference between saying “They took us to court,” vs. “We sued them, and they showed up in court to defend themselves?”
This is yet another example of CNN seizing on picayune details in order to discredit the president.
It turns out that the reason “we can’t even watch as they count the ballots,” is because not a single ballot in Pennsylvania will even be pre-processed before Election Day, much less counted.
But did CNN know that Trump knew, that his people couldn’t watch them count the ballots – because they weren’t counting any ballots?
Isn’t it possible that people were saying that Trump’s team wasn’t allowed to watch the election officials not count ballots – and that he was merely repeating what people were saying?
