PoliticsPA reported on Wednesday (October 21) that the Cook Political Report had moved the status of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives from “Leans Republican” to “Tossup.”

There are 203 members in the Pennsylvania House, and they are all up for re-election this year (as they are every two years).

Democrats need a gain of nine seats in order to take control of the House.

With re-apportionment of U.S. Congressional Districts (as well as Pennsylvania House and Senate Districts) looming in 2021, the outcome of this year’s state legislative races will have a major impact on Pennsylvania  elections over the next decade.
