Perkiomen Valley GOP School Board Members Vote To Ban Persons With Penises From Girls’ Rooms – Dems Dissent

by Gerry October 5, 2023

Update

Perkiomen Valley Election Results

Dems will take control of Perkiomen Valley School Board with their complete Election Day Sweep.

Although, as yet, no persons with penises have been positively identified as having entered a girls’ bathroom in any of the Perkiomen Valley schools, the  Republicans on the School Board there voted on Monday night (October 2) to pass a motion banning those persons (with penises) from using the girls’ rooms. The same measure bans persons with vaginas from using the boys’ rooms. All the Democrats on the board voted against the motion.

Perkiomen Valley School Board Chaos

The Republicans felt it was necessary to act proactively in case any individuals were EVEN THINKING ABOUT using bathroom facilities designated for persons with sexual organs different from what is designated for any particular bathroom.

The closest anyone has come to a sighting of male genitalia in a Perkiomen Valley School girls’ room was a high school freshman who “wasn’t positive but was pretty sure a male entered the bathroom while she was in there.”

What can’t be ruled out, in fact, might even be likely, is that what the girl saw in the bathroom was another girl – dressed like a boy. One of the Democratic board members noted that the Republican motion would require girls dressed like boys to use the girls’ bathroom. In which case, the girl who was pretty sure she saw a male in the bathroom might still be afraid to use that bathroom unless she was completely confident that the measure designed to protect the girls was being fully complied with.

Not all (any?) of the details of the plans to ensure that the Girls’ Rooms in the Perkioman Valley Schools will henceforth (if they are not already) be penis-free have been finalized. Nonetheless, the motion carried along party lines by a 5-4 vote.

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

These Garments Have Been Politically Maligned

Most non-Arabs who wear the keffiyeh do not intend it to be Anti-Semitic in any way. They wear it as an expression of sympathy for Palestinian civilians, support for human rights, concern about war, or identification with a broader cause of national identity and self-determination. In their minds, it is directed toward Palestinians, not against […]

Both come out of the work of Raymond Loewy and his design firm. Raymond Loewy (1893–1986) helped define what modern America looked like in the mid-20th century. No one in history is more closely associated with […]

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them.
