First Half Nailbiter Turns Into A Second Half Romp
The first half of the 128th playing of what Mary Brown calls the presumed longest-running continuous public high school rivalry in the nation ended with the Radnor Raptors (formerly the Raiders) failing to convert a point-after-touch attempt that would have tied the game. Instead, it left the Lower Merion Aces clinging to a one-point lead at intermission.
Lower Merion’s hopes of salvaging a disappointing 1-9 season, in which they were outscored 449-170, were dashed, however, as Radnor scored three unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter.
Final Radnor 42, Lower Merion 21
