Throngs lined the sidewalks of Downtown Ardmore on Monday (May 30), to witness what was arguably the most impressive parade ever seen, east of Pasadena.
This spectacle had it all – beginning with the World-renowned Merion Concert Band.
They got things started by playing a 45-minute set of rousers and toe-tappers. Then the band provided background melodies for the marchers, bicyclists, bagpipers, drummers, EMT Vehicles, fire engines (from every volunteer company in Lower Merion, and Narberth of course), and most fabulous of all, a pick-up truck carrying a bi-partisan collection of Township Commissioners – throwing candy to the children along the curb.
