Lower Merion Republicans appear to be at least trying to field a full slate of candidates to run for Lower Merion School Board this year. Five Republicans have filed to run in the Republican primary, and one of them, Laya Martinez, also cross-filed to run in the Democratic primary.
Among the Democrats running for School Board, all but Shayna Kalish and Todd William Ridky have cross-filed to run as Republicans. Kalish is the only incumbent in the race this year.
The top five vote-getters in each of the two parties primary elections will appear on the ballot in November. And in November the top five vote-getters will be elected to the board.
Correction
Rebecca Rosenberger Smolen did not cross-file.
