A no-longer-baby-faced Steve Forbert performed Sunday night (June 11) to the delight of an appreciative audience who covered almost every blade of grass with their blankets and beach chairs in front of the Gazebo in Bryn Mawr.
After first appearing here in 1978 (at the age of 23) as the opening act for Tom Rush at the Main Point,Β Forbert continued to play regularly in the Philadelphia area but mostly at larger venues like the Tower Theater, the Robin Hood Dell and the Ripley Music Hall.

In 2007, impresario David Broida brought Forbert back to town as a featured performer in the Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts series. He returned every year after until 2020 when everything went on hiatus.
