Montco GOP re-tweeted Rep. Kerry Benninghoff holding up the Boston Gazette cartoon that slammed the original gerrymanderer – Massachusetts Governor (in 1812), Elbridge Gerry.
In Benninghoff’s other hand is an oddly shaped district Pennsylvania House district that the bi-partisan Pennsylvania Legislative Reapportionment approved by a vote of 4-1. Benninghoff’s was the only No vote.
If Benningham wanted to show a more recent, more extreme example of a gerrymandered district – one that he voted for – he could have used the 2012-2016 7th Congressional District map, AKA Goofy Kicking Donald Duck.
