Three Lower Merion Teams Have Sights Set On Championships
Lower Merion High School’s Girls Soccer Team, Boys Soccer Team and Girls Volleyball team currently have a combined record of 32-1. The three teams are unbeaten in Central League play, with a combined record of 19-0.
On Thursday (September 29), the Girls Soccer Team won a league match at Radnor, 1-0. They’re ranked fourth in PIAA District 1, Class 4A. Number one ranked and unbeaten Conestoga plays Lower Merion at Lower Merion on Thursday (October 6 at 3:45). Although both teams will almost certainly earn a place in the District Championship Tournament, Thursday’s game will likely determine who wins the Central League Championship.
Lower Merion’s undefeated Boys Soccer Team is ranked number one in PIAA District 1 Class 4A. Conestoga is ranked second at 10-1. Their only loss was a non-league match against Holy Ghost Prep. Like Lower Merion, Conestoga has a perfect record in league play.
Lower Merion topped Radnor 2-0, at Lower Merion on Thursday (September 29). On Saturday (October 1) they travel to Penn Wood for a non league game. Then on Thursday (October 6) they’ll face off against Conestoga, at Conestoga.
