Tredyffrin/Easttown Embroiled In CRT Controversy

by Gerry

TND, a daily TV show produced by the conservative Sinclair Broadcast Group,  wrote last month that –

“CRT is not taught in TESD [Tredyffrin/Easttown School District] schools,” [Kenneth]Roos insisted to TND. “The District has developed its own initiative related to Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. The District works with multiple vendors to craft the steps to support our own initiative. In some EIB initiative leadership training, District staff discussed with each other (not students) what CRT is and how it fits into the national context. CRT in not an underpinning of what the District teaching in the classroom, and it is not in the TESD. curriculum.”

Roos is also the solicitor for the Lower Merion School District. He was commenting on training documents that TESD released that make frequent references to Critical Race Theory (CRT).

From the documents created by  Pacific Educational Group (PEG), a California-based education consultant, supplied to TESD.

According to TND, “when challenged with a lawsuit by AFL, on behalf of Auslander, TESD became unwilling to defend the copyright claim in court and handed over the documents.”

On April 14, after Ben Auslander, the parent of TESD student, sued the district Westlaw wrote – Auslander alleges that he went to the district’s administrative offices in February but was threatened with legal liability and told to leave when he attempted to make voice recordings describing the materials.

The complaint says the school district violated Auslander’s First Amendment rights by barring him from recording his observations and by retaliating against him for exercising his constitutionally protected right to free speech.

Why would we hire somebody to teach Critical Race Theory if we don’t want to teach Critical Race Theory?

In the development process, we tend to use a multitude of vendors.

You paid $400,000 for a 95-page report that was filled with Critical Race Theory.

The Peg Materials that seem to be in everyone’s hands were always available for inspection.

The Administration was following the law with regard to intellectual property and copyright.

You were laughing and smiling …

I’ll apologize for that. You’re right. It’s inappropriate. But I did have to comment on the fact …

Will you be terminating Art McDonnell (Business Manager)?

I happen to think that you represent me quite well…

I believe that the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs that you have implemented in the schools are working …

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]
