Trick Play, Dramatic Finish – Lower Merion Aces Are 1-0

With the clock winding down in what looked like was going to be the last play in a 0-0 slog between Lower Merion High and Bensalem, Aces quarterback Mekhai Smith tossed a short pass into the arms of Declan Mack. Mack then danced a few steps forward (around the 50-yard line) and launched a long pass to Zion Gray, who was minding his own business around the Bensalem 20-yard line. Without a defender in sight, Gray caught the ball and sauntered into the endzone for the game’s only score.
