Viva Video, the Ardmore video store that billed itself as “The Last Picture Store,” has announced that it’s going out business at the end of August.
We had a great run as Philly's last rental shop, but the die is cast, and in just under two months, 'Viva Video: The Last Picture Store' will be no more.#vivavideo #thelastpicturestore #videostore #rip #physicalmedia #liketearsinrain pic.twitter.com/qGpKUkhIDK

In March of 2019, Phillyvoice did a story about Viva Video. They wrote –
Viva Video grew out of TLA Video, the much-loved local video store chain that closed its last store in October of 2012. That same month, longtime TLA employee Miguel Gomez decided to open up his own store. He obtained a bulk of inventory from the closing chain, supplemented by his own personal collection and purchases from other video stores that have gone out of business.
Phillyvoice also reported that two pilot episodes had been filmed for a series about the store.
