White Supremacy Stickers Reported In South Ardmore

In an email to “Neighbors,” that was posted on their Facebook Page, the Ardmore Progressive Civic Association wrote –

We are writing to make you aware of white supremacy stickers that have been located on traffic signs and posts in the Ardmore area. The stickers (see photos) are used to advertise the organizations’ hate rhetoric and recruit new members.

The stickers, which were found on Holland Avenue, County Line Road, and East Spring Ave, were removed by concerned citizens and by township staff.

The Lower Merion Police are aware and have begun an active investigation.

Between January 6 and 10th, officers responded to numerous locations in the South Ardmore section of the Township on reports of stickers placed on roadside signs advertising white supremacy groups. The stickers that were found were advertising the groups “White Lives Matter” and “Active Club”. “White Lives Matter” is associated with the Aryan Renaissance Society and is based out of Texas. Their members believe white Americans are enduring “genocide” at the hands of immigrants and interracial marriages, among other factors. “Active Club” is a fight group associated with the “Rise Above Movement” founded in 2017 and is based in southern California. They are a white supremacist group whose members believe they are fighting against a “modern world” corrupted by the “destructive cultural influences” of liberals, Jews, Muslims, and non-white immigrants. At this time there are no known organized chapters of either of these groups based in Pennsylvania or the surrounding states. An Investigations Unit Liaison report has been distributed to all staff educating them about this activity. A detective has been assigned to oversee the reports and investigate any possible leads. The Township Codes Department staff have been instructed to look for and report any stickers located while they are out conducting inspections. Public Works crews have been assigned and have removed the stickers that have been located to date. Attached are pictures of some of the stickers that were removed. Please ask residents to report any future observation of these types of stickers or activity associated with placing these stickers on signs in public spaces. question was asked about the number of stickers located that can be traced directly to white supremacy groups. As of this time, we have three stickers that are clearly associated with white supremacist groups. They were located on the unit block of E. Spring Ave. and on Holland Ave. near Locust Ave. Haverford Township Police have reported similar stickers in their jurisdiction. There are no leads on the identity of the person(s) responsible for these acts at this time.
