Wolf (PAC) Gave Cappelletti $25,000
Governor Tom Wolf and other high-profile Democrats in Pennsylvania are apparantly confident that they will have all the cash they’ll need to defeat Donald Trump and other Republicans in November. According to her campaign finance report, which was filed on May 18, Amanda Cappelletti has collected more than $217,000 in campaign contributions – all for the purpose of removing an incumbent, progressive Democratic Senator, Daylin Leach; and replacing him with a new, younger and presumably better and more progressive Democrat – Amanda Cappelletti, who does not tell dirty jokes.
According to the report, Cappelletti was also the beneficiary of $8,199.53 worth of “Staff Time,” contributed by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party.
The governor was by far the most generous donor to the Cappelletti campaign.
Through his political action committee, Wolf PAC, he contributed $25,000 to Cappelletti. The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) chipped in with a contribution of $10,000, as did Represent PA, which describes itself on its website as “the only organization in Pennsylvania focused on investing in pro-choice Democratic women candidates across the entire commonwealth for both the PA House and Senate.”
“Be the Change PA,” which has the same filing address as Senator Katie Muth’s campaign, contributed $7,150.
Maria for PA (Senator Maria Collett) contributed $6,000.
Emily’s List, Bricklayers Union, Local 1; Friends of [State Senator] Tim Kearney, Friends of [Montgomery County Commissioner] Val Arkoosh, Iron Workers Union, Local 401; and the Plumbers Union, Local 690; all contributed $5,000 to the Cappelletti Campaign.
According to an official at the Voting and Elections Bureau of the Pennsylvania Department of State, they have received a more recent campaign finance report from the Leach Campaign, but have not yet posted it to their website. Here is Leach’s campaign finance report for the period beginning January 1 and ending March 9, 2020. During that period he received $50,283.40 in campaign contributions.
