Montco Voter Services Says Drop Boxes Will Be Secure

Ludington Library Drop Box Location

Montgomery County Public Affairs Manager, Teresa Harris, provided this information about the drop boxes that will be located at vaious locations around the county.

  • All ballot drop-off box locations will be staffed by Montgomery County security and will have video surveillance.
  • The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will collect the contents of each box on a daily basis starting October 3, or more often if needed.
  • The ballots from the drop-off boxes will be stored in a secure area until they are to be counted.

The Drop Box for Lower Merion will be located at the Ludington Library, and will operate under the following schedule.

October 3rd – October 30th:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM

Tuesday & Thursday – 11:00 AM through 6:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday – 11:00 AM through 4:00 PM

October 31st & November 1st:

Saturday & Sunday – 10:00 AM through 6:00 PM

November 2nd & November 3rd:

Monday & Tuesday – 9:00 AM through 8:00 PM

Voters will also be able to bring their mail-ballots to a satellite office of the county’s Voter Services Office, which is expected to open at 925 Montgomery Avenue (near Staples, where the Magistrate District Judge’s office is located), but their hours have not been announced yet.
