World Famous Gladwyne Mom Says Her 15 Minutes Are Not Up.

World Famous Gladwyne Mom Says Her 15 Minutes Are Not Up.

I have now been officially scolded by Elana Fishbein, to whom I first made reference in an article I posted on August 14 (before she became a household name), a little more than a month before  Tucker Carlson interviewed her for a full five minutes and two seconds.

Fishbein commented today (see below) on my September 17 article, about her appearance on FoxNews. Without having spoken to me, or communicated with me in any way, she wrote, “From the dismissive tone of your article, I know where you stand.”

I am assuming that the “dismissive tone” that she refers to, is about my description of her fame, or lack-thereof; and not about my thoughts with respect to the controversy surrounding Lower Merion School District’s “Cultural Prociency Curriculum,” about which I have not expressed any opinions in support of or in opposition to.

And I don’t understand why a woman of Ms. Fishbein’s stature would have the time or feel the need to denigrate this little local rag, by comparing the soaring readership of her NoLeftTurn.US to that of the barely visible ThisisLowerMerion.com.

However, if she meant any offense, certainly none was taken.

To the contrary, I couldn’t be more proud and honored, just knowing that an international figure such as Elana Fishbein is  reading my website, and commenting on its contents. It really doesn’t get any better than that.

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

January 16-18: The Philly Pen Show — A Delightfully Analog Experience

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
