Yesterday’s news was that Donald Trump’s lawyer, Linda A. Kerns had filed an amended version of a complaint on behalf of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. The hearing for that complaint is scheduled to take place today in Williamsport, PA before U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann. On Sunday Trump’s lawyers from the firm Porter Wright resigned from the case, leaving Kerns to represent Trump on her own.
But that news is so yesterday and the day before yesterday. This morning we woke up to learn that Kerns is also no longer representing Trump.
Last night, Jeremy Roebuck reported in the Inquirer that Kerns is being “replaced by Harrisburg-area corporate lawyer and conservative activist Marc A. Scaringi, who Kerns said would be prepared to represent the campaign at the first hearing on the case scheduled for Tuesday afternoon in Williamsport.”
According to Roebuck, “[Trump] Said to be unhappy with the state of his legal effort, Trump over the weekend appointed his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani to right the foundering effort — a role Giuliani began by publicly pushing back against Kerns’ decision to jettison the bulk of the Pennsylvania federal case after a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit made many of their legal claims untenable in court.”
