For Borough Council, LM/Narb Dems Set To Endorse Incumbents Plus Ira Winston

Narberth Borough Hall

The Democratic Committee of Lower Merion Narberth (DCLMN) will go through the motions of conducting a candidates forum tonight.

Candidates for Lower Merion Commissioners, Lower Merion Tax Collector, Narberth Borough Council, Narberth Mayor, Narberth Tax Collector and Magisterial District Judges will participate in tonight’s forum. However with exception of the Narberth Borough Council election and one of the Magisterial races, only one candidate is seeking the Committee’s endorsement for each of the offices on tonight’s “bill.”

And it is almost a foregone conclusion that the Committee will endorse the three Borough Council incumbents (Fred Bush, Michelle Paninopoulos and Cyndi Rickards) along with newcomer Ira Winston, who the incumbents have decided to include as part of their “slate.”

In Magisterial District 38-2-04, Andrew Kronfeld is realistic about how unlikely it is for him to win the  endorsement, but he is hoping to convince the Committee to hold an Open Primary (no endorsement) when he challenges three-time incumbent Karen Zucker in the primary.  This magisterial district includes the following precints: 3-1, 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, 8-1, 8-3, 9-1, 9-2, 9-3, 12-1, 12-2, 12-3, 14-1, 14-2, 14-3.

If you are a registered Democrat in Lower Merion or Narberth, you will be able to view the videos on Lower Merion and Narberth Democratic Forum where they will be live-streamed during the Forums and continue to reside there for later viewing.

Haven’t found Paninopoulos, Richards, or Fred Bush to be creative, innovative, or even friendly. Not sure why we settle for repeats when others seem to merit a turn. Stop it with the sacred cows and let’s start running people who can speak to fixing the damn bridge and our ROADS

Family Learning To Luge

Want to Try Luge? From Lower Merion, It Starts With a Drive to Lake Placid

I was watching the Luge on NBC over the weekend. I thought it was boring, especially when juxtaposed against the more dramatic events, like curling.  The color commentator kept explaining how each “slider” was doing something slightly better or worse than the others, but to my untrained eye, they all looked the same: feet first, […]

January 16-18: The Philly Pen Show — A Delightfully Analog Experience

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
